EUROPEAN COUNCIL ON EATING DISORDERS

Dear European colleague,

EU parliamentary members Esther de Lange, Ivo Belet, Niels Busk, Esther Herranz García and Catherine Stihler have drafted a declaration which they called On excessive pressure to be extremely thin (no. 0101/2008). As with all political statements the language leaves much to be desired, but it is a first (baby) step on the long road to increase political awareness on eating disorders within the EU.

Currently, the goal is to ask as many of the 786 EU parliament members to sign the written declaration. The deadline is March 26^th.

I would like to ask you to contact the EU parliament members from your country with the request to sign the written declaration 0101/2008. The more requests for ED specialists they get the higher the chance that they will sign the declaration.
